FREE ALMA MOSAIC WORKSHOP – Hećho en Bernalillo

- The classes are free, and all supplies will be provided.
- This is a two-session workshop.

In this two-day workshop, participants will create a mini mosaic of a plant from the Bosque using handmade tile.
On day one, you will design and carve your own plant of the Bosque in clay and select color possibilities for your plant. ALMA apprentices will glaze the plant tiles between classes. On day two, you will install and grout your tiles onto a mini mosaic. The final product will be a colorful handmade mini mosaic that will be displayed in the “Plants of the Bosque” exhibition at the Bernalillo Community Museum. Participants can take them home after the exhibition.

All workshops are free to attend, and all supplies are included. We also provide snacks and drinks during the classes.
These workshops are held every Saturday at the Museum, and the artwork created will be on display during one of our upcoming exhibitions. After the exhibition, participants will be able to take their artwork home. While we do give priority to children and teens, there is not an upper age limit for the workshops, so if space is available, we also encourage adults and families to attend together. We only ask that participants register for the event before attending.
