Enchanted Forest: An Invitational Show Guest Artists: Sandra & Michael Kadisak, Alfonse Schuster and Katie Thomas - Artists Reception
Exhibition Dates: December 2 – 28, 2025
Artist Reception/First Sunday ARTScrawl, December 7, 10 am – 2 pm
The Holidays bring people together with shared rituals and a sense of joy, tradition and togetherness that is unique to the season. Enjoy the gallery’s Enchanted Forest with twinkling lights and the artists’ imagery of celebration, reflection and connection.
Sandra and Michael Kadisak meld their unique vision and skill to create ceramic art that evokes charm, wonder and the magic of the forest. Whimsical collaboration has spirited the arrival of their newest clay creations of porcupines and javelinas to join their signature nativity sets. Each piece is crafted with over 60 combined years of ceramic exploration.
“Clay offers a magical medium which responds immediately, channeling inspiration into a lasting artifact. “
Alfons Schuster has been creating art for 35 years, eight of those in Placitas. His work honors the beauty of decay in nature – taking what nature has decided to give without destroying living nature.
“Making art from materials nature is willing to give brings me great joy.”
Katie Thomas grew up in Connecticut and worked in the corporate world for 25 years. She migrated to Taos where she opened and operated a store for 13 years. She now lives in Placitas where she devotes her time to exploring different art mediums, including beading, mosaics, textile art, found items, assemblage, and more.
“I love the beauty of Placitas and all of the great artists in the community. It inspires me to make art
every day.”
During First Sunday ARTScrawl on December 7, 10 am to 2 pm, enjoy fellowship and refreshments, meet the artists and learn about their processes.
Wild Hearts Gallery is an artists’ collective, supported by 14 local artists. Located at 221-B State Highway 165, the gallery is open Tuesday–Friday 10 am to 4 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 10 am to 2 pm.
