PART OF THE BERNALILLO COMMUNITY MUSFUM’S
HECHO EN BERNALILLO
ART SERIES
• Instructor: Margarita Paz-Pedro
• Age Range: 10+ (under 17 bring an adult)
• The classes are free, and all supplies will be provided.
• This is a two-session workshop.
• Must register to attend.
In this two-day workshop, participants will create a handbuilt vessel using plants as decoration.
On day one we will discuss plants around the Bosque and their characteristics. We will then create slab built forms, embedding plants onto the surface. Works will be bisque fired between sessions. Day two will be painting the surface with underglaze and glaze. Works will be glazed fired and then put into the exhibition “Plants of the Bosque” at the Bernalillo Community Museum.
Participants can take them home after the exhibition.

More about Youth & Family Art Workshop Series – Hecho en Bernalillo
All workshops are free to attend, and all supplies are included. We also provide snacks and drinks during the classes.
These workshops are held every Saturday at the Museum, and the artwork created will be on display during one of our upcoming exhibitions. After the exhibition, participants will be able to take their artwork home. While we do give priority to children and teens, there is not an upper age limit for the workshops, so if space is available, we also encourage adults and families to attend together. We only ask that participants register for the event before attending.
