The four musicians who are Lone Piñon will take you on a musical journey through several centuries of New Mexico music in their lively performance. They will also share anecdotes and history from the elders – musical ancestors – who taught them. New Mexico’s unique background of overlapping cultures, civilizations and languages has generated a distant musical voice, which you will experience in this presentation of New Mexico’s music past, present and future.
